Tahoe - Eagle Lake Trail - Review / Family Friendly
Eagle Falls Trail in Lake Tahoe is a popular hiking destination known for its beautiful waterfalls, scenic views, and relatively accessible terrain. Here are some key details:
1. Location: The trail is located in the Desolation Wilderness area, near Emerald Bay State Park on the southwest shore of Lake Tahoe, California.
2. Trailhead: The trail begins at the Eagle Falls Picnic Area, off Highway 89. There is a parking lot at the trailhead, but it can fill up quickly during peak times.
3. Trail Details:
• Length: The trail to Eagle Falls is about 2 miles round trip.
• Elevation Gain: Approximately 400 feet.
• Difficulty: The trail is rated as moderate. It has some rocky sections and a steady incline, but it is manageable for most hikers, including families with children.
4. Features:
• Lower Eagle Falls: Located close to the trailhead, these falls are easily accessible and offer stunning views.
• Upper Eagle Falls: A bit further up the trail, these falls are larger and more dramatic.
• Eagle Lake: Continuing on the trail past the falls, you can reach Eagle Lake, a beautiful alpine lake that makes for a great picnic spot or resting place.
5. Permits: A wilderness permit is required for day hiking in the Desolation Wilderness. These permits are available at the trailhead and are free for day use. If you plan to camp overnight, you will need to obtain a permit in advance.
6. Best Time to Visit: The trail is accessible year-round, but the best time to visit is from late spring to early fall when the waterfalls are most impressive due to snowmelt. In winter, the trail can be icy and may require additional gear like crampons or snowshoes.
7. Wildlife and Flora: The area is home to various wildlife, including black bears, deer, and numerous bird species. The trail is also lined with diverse plant life, including wildflowers, pines, and firs.
Eagle Falls Trail offers a mix of natural beauty and adventure, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring the Lake Tahoe area.

The Deer Valley trail runs North and South and sits between Kirkwood Ski Resort the North side, and and Bear Valley South end. We started on the North end and descended towards Bear Valley, and the trail dropped us into Hermit Valley Campground. So if you’re coming from Tahoe, you will probably enter from on the north side, and if you’re traveling from the Bay Area or Sacramento HWY 4 towards B...

Keep the good work brother
Mine is close to 22 years old , i cut firewood withit
"It is what it is" - yeah - butchered is another word - and why use wood screws? At least you can cover it up, creating more work for you - but your video reveals what you did. I have always liked guys who make mistakes - at least they are trying to get something done and that beats the crap out of the arm-chair quarterbacks that never make a mistake because they never actually do anything except criticize others.😉 Give me the guy that makes mistakes every damn time. 👍👍
shoulda taken those steps off the day he put tires on it
Awesome! This was great i just moved into an apartment that had these and was fighting a neighbor on settings as we were on the same channel. I only really needed to reprogram the remote but seeing the whole install was helpful. Also I did not know you could dim it, that's sick
Can you post more videos !!
Awesome! Thank you.
Fail....he had help
Avalanche did amgoing to look at one tomorrow
Great job
Thread seal mate not locker as the threads tapered
What would you say the big bore box weighs (ball park) I just ordered one for my TJ. I'm assuming it won't be as heavy as yours but I'm planning on bringing it home to Taiwan on my flight in check-in baggage. 😂 13:54 Man that's a well maintained suspension system. Squeaky clean! I like your style.
25-30 lbs, thank you!
Very savvy dude…love it🙌🏼
I had a 2016 f250 with a front locker, I think it was part of a snow plow package.
I broke the spray handle on mine and can't find a replacement part for it in my searches. Any advice from anyone? Thank you
How much is parking $$
$20 per day
Thanks Brian, I couldn't figure out where the remote box went and how to wire it, super helpful video. Thanks again!
Does it still work great?
Is there an update to this vehicle?
So if your adjustment is incorrect then you need to disassemble everything, remove the ball joint, reposition it slightly then reassemble and hope its closer?
My GM g80 has an interesting operation. It’s a PTE differential. Pray To Engage 🙏 It works at least 48% of the time.
Thank you for this video. I'll be doing this job soon. The torque specs are appreciated (and confirmed).
Thanks man, very helpfull video...
I have a problem, my mom and I have the same ceiling fans in our rooms, but when I use the remote control, I can operate both fans at the same time, let me explain to you, if I use the remote control to turn on the light in my room , it turns off in my mother's room, in the same way if I want to turn on the fan at any of the speeds, it turns off in my mother's room. I just want to know if anyone else has that problem, and could you also provide me with a solution. I would greatly appreciate your help.
Change your dip switch settings on the remote and on the receiver. They have to match the same number on both ends
There are two dip switch settings one on the fan motor and the other on the remote control, and both must be on the same frequency. Best
Scrub through the video to time stamp 15:38 me explaining about the dip switch.
Can't wait to use mine. There is no snow here in San Diego. However, we have the mighty desert.
Does the engine turn off when you open the door? Or brake?
Bought this jack+stand based on your video. But I bought the unijack which has more height adjustment than the older model. You might be able to ask powerbuilt to sell you the jack arm to the updated version so you wont have to use two jacks and possibly even the wood block if your wheels clear it.
Well done thank you
We humans are disgusting the man it's trying to help us with the video it's OK if he talks about his family it's his video if you don't like it it's simple don't watch it that's how people don't want to share their skills I have a trick if you can't start your vehicle but I'm not going to share it I don't want to hear all this negative
Thank You for taking the time to make this video, Sir. I've got the 2402 error code also. I'm hoping to find a loose or damaged hose or something and get out of the repair for the labor and the cost of a couple hose clamps and maybe some sealant or a new bit of hose or something. Also, I just want to say that You have a Great Personality, your video was very well made. And lastly, it's good to see you have a lovely young family as the Aworld of the future will definitely need as many right-minded, intelligent people who are capable of solving problems as possible...👍
Thanks so much for this video! I have the exact same problem, and knew it must be related to the cowl area, but no one has an explanation like yours. Thank you!
Thanks Bro!!!! Just love how Jeeps are not WATER PROOF... I had both LEAK problems... ! Thought you were inside of my Jeep for a minute there!
What size air compressor would I need for it?
Did you have to use spacers for the 17" rims, or did you just put them on, and if you did how close to the brake caliper did you get?
You wind the tape in the wrong direction and I would put a water separator in the line after the compressor
The only that matters is working load limit that's your night and day
Those new filters are a pain. I just pay someone to do it for me now with a coupon.
New to the channel: Wagon 4x2 Family? Were there any 4x2's on this trip? I can't imagine.
Mine came with the blade on, do i have to do anything?
My trucks a 2014 f150 fx2 sport rwd and all the lights turned on for me like for him but there’s also a loud cranking noise when I turn my steering wheel left I can’t really notice anything besides that but any feedback would be helpful thx
Good job
Very thorough and informative video! Im not sure if i missed any info, but how does the 4 numbers inside yhe remote affect the fan? It used to go on high in one room now it stays stuck on medium, how can i adjust please
Nice video! I like the details you go into for each step. One question - where do you get the white "do-hicky" that you show in the video to drain some oil out of the filter before removing the filter? Thanks.
It comes with the oil filter.
Thanks for your good procedures.
Does anyone know what to do if your kid opens the remote and changes the numbers in the back of the remote and now your fan and remote aren’t synced? Is there an easier way to get the numbers in fan without taking it down?
Super helpful. Thx
Thank you for your insight Sir
The only issue is there are no spare parts available for these.
Thanks!
Thank you fauci
